Die Editors\u2018 Choice der fotocommunity steht f\u00fcr eine exzellente Selektion zeitgen\u00f6ssischer Fotografie, ausgew\u00e4hlt von den Machern von fotocommunity.de f\u00fcr Kunst- und Fotografiebegeisterte. Ziel der Selektion ist es, k\u00fcnstlerisch herausragenden Werken innerhalb der fotocommunity eine prominente Ausstellungsplattform zu bieten und Fotokunst einer breiten Internet-\u00d6ffentlichkeit zug\u00e4nglich zu machen:<\/p>\n

Klein, aber fein: 25 aus 20 Millionen Fotos beinhaltet die Editors\u2018 Choice zum Start. Auch wenn die Selektion nach und nach um erlesene Aufnahmen erweitert wird, wird nicht mal ein Prozent aller in der fotocommunity ausgestellten Fotos die Editors\u2018 Choice-Auszeichnung erhalten. \u201eWir sehen in einer Woche Tausende Fotos. Da sind viele gute dabei, einige hervorragende. Wenn wir jedoch \u00fcber die Editors\u2018 Choice-Auszeichnung nachdenken, muss uns ein Foto in seinen Bann ziehen\u201c, so Daniel Schaffeld, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer der fotocommunity GmbH. \u201eDen Einzug in Editors\u2018 Choice erh\u00e4lt es nur, wenn es uns nicht mehr losl\u00e4sst.\u201c<\/p>\n

Editors\u2018 Choice wird die fotocommunity-Galerie nicht ersetzen. Hier werden nach wie vor Fotos gezeigt, die von den fotocommunity-Nutzern demokratisch gew\u00e4hlt worden sind. \u201eDas Konzept von Editors\u2018 Choice steht dem unserer Galerie diametral entgegen\u201c, sagt Schaffeld. \u201eDeshalb wird unsere redaktionelle Auswahl nicht in der Galerie pr\u00e4sentiert, sondern erh\u00e4lt einen eigenen Platz.\u201c<\/p>\n

Fotos ausstellen und diskutieren: die fotocommunity ist mit \u00fcber einer Million registrierten Mitgliedern in f\u00fcnf Sprachversionen die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Internetgemeinschaft f\u00fcr Fotografie in Europa. Seit ihrer Gr\u00fcndung im Jahr 2001 wurden \u00fcber 20 Millionen Fotos hochgeladen und 200 Millionen Bildkritiken verfasst.
