\u201eBis Sommer werden wir Apps f\u00fcr iPhone, Android und Windows Phone 7 haben\u201c, sagt Plattformgr\u00fcnder Andreas Constantin Meyer. Dann k\u00f6nnen auch Fotos der Smartphone-Kamera zur fotocommunity hochgeladen und zur Diskussion gestellt werden. Das K\u00f6lner Unternehmen will die Software-Schnittstelle (API) f\u00fcr die Plattform ver\u00f6ffentlichen, damit Entwickler den Zugang zur \u201efc\u201c, wie die Mitglieder das Portal abk\u00fcrzen, in eigene Anwendungen einbauen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n

\u201eDas war \u00fcberf\u00e4llig, das h\u00e4tten wir schon eher machen sollen\u201c, sagt Meyer. Aber auch wenn die fotocommunity inzwischen 16 Mitarbeiter besch\u00e4ftigt, hat sich das Portal noch das Flair eines Hobby-Projekts bewahrt, wie es am 1. Februar 2001 gestartet wurde.<\/p>\n

Grundfunktionen sind kostenlos
\n\u201eIch habe damals die ganze Nacht herumgebastelt und dann in der Usenet-Gruppe de.rec.fotografie mitgeteilt, dass die fotocommunity online ist\u201c, erinnert sich Meyer. \u201eIm Usenet waren keine normalen Menschen, das waren Techniker, die auch fotografierten.\u201c Meyer wollte mit seiner Idee die Hemmschwelle senken, damit jeder auf einfache Weise ein digitales Foto hochladen und mit anderen dar\u00fcber diskutieren konnte.<\/p>\n

Am ersten Tag haben bereits 40 Internetnutzer ihre Bilder zur Diskussion gestellt. \u201eIn drei Wochen war der Webspace voll, aber unser K\u00f6lner Provider hat uns dann den ganzen Server bereitgestellt.\u201c Als Unternehmen nimmt die fotocommunity 25 Prozent ihres Umsatzes aus Werbung und 75 Prozent aus Mitgliedsbeitr\u00e4gen ein \u2013 die Grundfunktionen sind kostenlos, ab vier Euro gibt es erweiterte Nutzungsm\u00f6glichkeiten.<\/p>\n

Ziel jedes Mitglieds ist ein Bild mit Stern
\nSeit der Gr\u00fcndung wurden mehr als 20 Millionen Fotos hochgeladen und 200 Millionen Bildkritiken geschrieben. Zwei Drittel der Mitglieder leben in Deutschland, ein Drittel nutzt eines der f\u00fcnf fc-Portale in anderen Sprachen, besonders lebendig geht es in der italienischen fotocommunity zu.<\/p>\n

Die Community haben die Mitglieder letztlich selbst gestaltet. Noch bevor die technischen M\u00f6glichkeiten daf\u00fcr eingerichtet waren, achteten sie vor zehn Jahren darauf, dass niemand mehr als zwei Bilder am Tag ins Netz stellte. In langen Diskussionen pr\u00e4gten sie einen eigenen fc-Stil. Ziel jedes Mitglieds ist ein Bild mit Stern: Diesen bekommt ein Foto, wenn es in einer Abstimmung gen\u00fcgend Unterst\u00fctzer f\u00fcr die Aufnahme in die FC-Galerie erhalten hat.<\/p>\n

Konstruktiver Austausch
\nHeute gibt es zahllose M\u00f6glichkeiten im Netz, um ganze Fotoalben in einem Rutsch hochladen zu k\u00f6nnen. F\u00fcr den konstruktiven Austausch aber gibt es nur wenige Orte. \u201eWie oft habe ich vor den Bildern anderer User gesessen und gestaunt, aber durch das Gesehene auch sehr viel gelernt\u201c, schreibt Doris K., die zum Geburtstag noch einmal ihr erstes fotocommunity-Bild hochgeladen hat.<\/p>\n
